It was an amazing party and cruise on the Chao Praya River with Cola & Lollipops and rockstars Bangkok Island this past Saturday, March 22, 2025. It was straight LIT!!!

Equinox was a smashing success with Cola & Lollipops, Jim Carson, Mu Lan, & Bangkok Island as Jim Carson played 50% originals from his labels Cola & Lollipops celebrating 5 years, Anahata Love Recordings celebrating 8 years, and our newest label Music Is Medicine - MIM - celebrating one year with songs like Jim Carson "Vivian," Nico Salazar "See Thru You," Jim Carson "Fabian Tribute" ft. DJ MOTA (US) and The Dirty Rabbi "Disco Fiction." No track was left undiscoverd as Carson played classic like Joey Beltram "Energy Flash" and Human Resource "Dominator" (DJ Misjah Remix) flawlessly along with the Shapeshifters "Lola's Theme" (Tripolism Remix) off of fellow nu disco and funky house label - Glitterbox.
Special thanks to Mu Lan (Anahata Love Recordings, Cola & Lollipops, and Sunwei Entertainment) for celebrating her birthday with us as she laid down some serious afro house and funky house beats as well as progressive which mixed smooth and perfectly with Carson's new track, "Oh My Love, Oh My Darling" out now on Pimp House, Vol. 7 - Keep It Disco & Funky. Carson says, "Coming full circle from seeing my friend Darin Epsilon of Perspectives Digital play the Bangkok Island boat five years ago for UNITED & Mustache, when I first arrived back in Bangkok for the fourth time in 5 years, was truly remarkable and amazing. I have to hand it to Yuval & Rainny for really knowing how to organize such a great event and taking us out on the Chao Praya River where we are free to dance and DJ without judgment and for the true house heads of Bangkok. Everybody that was there was straight legit and my fellow DJs Mu Lan, FREAK, Billy Beatz, Yaeger, and MC Pouk and MC Mighty-Blow Freeman. It was really ecletic with my style of Pimp House, Nu Disco, Progressive House, and Funky House and Tech House mixing with Mu Lan's Afro House and Proggy House Music and Funky Beats. I enjoyed the birthday girl's set and was impressed with all the spikes on her outfit. I got to meet her partner who was Korean-American-Canadian and he was super good vibes. The main hotties from Thai Angel showed up - Jaesel and Dee - who are not only beautiful and elegant but classy. They got down and so did all my Myanmar/Burma brothers and sisters. Nearly every country was represented from Thailand to France to the United States of America and Burma. Salon owner of Industry DTLA Christian King was out with his partner Alis and they showed me a good time as well. I love my friends."
"Bangkok Island turned up the rhythm for an exclusive for a 'Tropical Party Boat' with an electrifying selection of House, Deep Tech, and Groove tunes curated to keep you dancing all night long. We could have played all night," said Carson. "I can go for hours so playing 90 minutes to 2 hours is a breeze for me. There were some technical difficulties switching out controllers by one DJ, but other than that, everything was buzzing and the crowd really appreciate the Pimp House and House Music stylings we all offered. I had to remind some of the guys this is "house" and not "hip hop," but they got it and bounced back with some old school Venga Boys and other electro like jams that offered a pumped experience which allowed me to play some mashups by Nirvana and DJ Press Play's Mashup of "Your Sex is on Fire" with Kidsos by Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia. So it was a mix of underground and more commercial dance music or business techno that the crowd didn't seem to mind. It all fit fine within the context of 2 birthday parties and a bachelor party happening on the boat with guys in matching Hawaiin shirts. My favorite dancers were the ones dancing on the bar. They know who they are. Simply the best energy and good vibes!!!"
"You know, Freak, is an all around awesome guy and brought the vibe of happiness and chill. I really appreciate him and everyone from Thai Angel and the Bangkok Island crew. It was good to have him on the lineup and he absolutely crushed it with his set. Mad respect and props. I mixed in my new remix for Jourdan Bordes "Work It Ya'll"(Hoovers, Keys, & Tribal House Remix) that went perfectly and really rocked the crowd. I know I keep saying perfect but it was like heaven on Earth at Bangkok Island. I cannot get enough. "I would be remiss not to thank the skills of Billy Beatz, Yaeger, and Pouk C and Mighty Blow Freeman on the mic. The DJs and MCs really brought it. It has been awhile since I have heard MCs on house music but it definitely worked and they pumped up the party just right. I also got in new remixes from Riva Starr of Eddie Amador's "House Music" on Yoshitoshi Recordings and Sandro Puddu's "American Boy" on Acetone Records which I love. Both songs and labels get mad respect from me and have been on my Top 10 tracks for the past couple months since I DJed Eden at Thong Lor back in November.I also played some CR2 Records which were slammin' and vibing with the crowd. I didn't get everything on video, but I got at least an hour featuring a lot of Cola & Lollipops tracks mixed with my favorite artists not on the label, but soon hopefully. Fingers crossed and knocking on wood. Hahahahhaa."

The best part was all the dancers dancing on the bar and the dancefloor. Without them there is no party. That is why I always dance and support my fellow DJs. I love the dancefloor and dancing is what led me to DJing after I played guitar in several rock bands including an early version of Eve 6 and The Ataris. I jammed with the Ataris drummer Chris Knapp and Mike Davenport (the bassist) a lot. We had some fun in Mexico and Rosarito for sure."

"The reviews kept coming in from the weekend. This really great person with curly hair that was bleached was by far my favorite dancer and most knowledgable about house music. She told me she loved my music and she was still vibing to it a full 24 hours afterwards. That is when you know you are doing what you love and loving what you are doing - P-house and House Music is not just a genre - but a lifestyle. Producing music and DJing is a lifestyle. I cannot stop if you tried me. I am totally one with Ableton Live and Steve Duda's Serum VST. I put it on nearly every track for that deep sub bass sound. It really comes in handy to give the tracks teeth and balls. Two things that should never go in one sentence together, but appropriate in this context ;) " said Carson.

Grateful to all the DJs and artists I played on the boat like DJ MOTA (US), Jim Carson "Ancient Dance Ritual" and the "Fabian Tribute" (Original Mix) which I played for the first time. It will be coming out Tuesday as an album with 6 songs on it. I think DJ Fabian would have wanted it that way. It has a super fuky disco dub feel to it and a little bit of non-genre specific leads with congas to drive you home to the days of shamanism and tribalism which we all gather for to celebrate the changing of seasons.
